Churn-risk teardown workshop

See the accounts at risk while there is still time to talk

Churn rarely shows up all at once. It builds in quiet accounts, missed check-ins, and renewals that arrive before anyone has had the hard conversation. By then, renewal has become a rescue.

  • Free
  • 60 minutes, live on Zoom
  • 8 companies per session
  • Three dates in November and December 2026

What it is

A working session with your team, not a webinar.

Together we look at how you spot churn risk today and where accounts slip through before renewal. You bring how your team works now. We bring what we've seen across more than 300 customer success teams.

Each session is limited to 8 companies, so there is time to work through each team's own accounts rather than talk in generalities. You don't need to share customer data on the call. Anonymized examples work fine, and so does a whiteboard.

Agenda

What we work through together

  1. How your team flags churn risk today

We start by mapping how an account goes from "fine" to "at risk" on your team: which signals you watch, who notices first, and where it gets written down. We note which signals actually showed up before your last few churned accounts left.

  2. Where accounts slip through before renewal

Next we look for the gaps: accounts that churned while still green, sponsors who left without anyone noticing, renewals that reached the 30-day mark with no recent conversation. We work through two or three of your recent losses or near misses and find the point where someone could have acted.

  3. Which customer conversations should happen sooner

We finish by turning what we found into a short list of conversations to have now, and who should have them. Each one gets a reason, an owner and a rough date. You leave with a list you can take to your next team meeting, not a framework to file.

Dates

Three sessions. Pick the one that suits your team.

Every session is the same 60-minute format, live on Zoom, with up to 8 companies. Times are shown in Pacific and Eastern time.

  • 9:00 to 10:00 am PT / 12:00 to 1:00 pm ET
  • 11:00 am to 12:00 pm PT / 2:00 to 3:00 pm ET
    Few seats left
  • 8:00 to 9:00 am PT / 11:00 am to 12:00 pm ET

Who should come

The people closest to the process.

This session is for VPs and Heads of Customer Success, CS Operations, and Chief Customer Officers at B2B SaaS companies with 50 to 2,000 employees.

If a CS ops lead owns your health scores and playbooks, bring them along. This session works best with the people closest to the process. Up to three people per company is ideal.

What you leave with

  • A short written teardown of your churn-risk signals: what you watch today, what predicted your recent losses, and what to stop watching.
  • A list of the three conversations to have first, with the account, the reason and the person who should have it.

Your hosts

Run by people who have run CS teams.

Priya Raman

VP of Customer Success, Harbor Desk

Priya runs Harbor Desk's own customer success team, which uses Harbor Desk on every account. Before that she led CS Operations at two SaaS companies and rebuilt both of their health scores from their renewal history.

Maya Okafor

Co-founder and Chief Executive Officer, Harbor Desk

Maya ran customer success teams for twelve years before founding Harbor Desk in 2019. She still reviews every churned account personally, and she will ask about yours.

"We used to find out an account was at risk when the cancellation email arrived. Now the health score turns amber about 70 days earlier, and the playbook has already put it on my team's list."

Dana Whitlock, VP of Customer Success, Tidewater Freight. Tidewater cut gross churn 18% in its first 12 months on Harbor Desk. Read the story.

Questions

Is it a sales pitch?
No. It's a working session about your team's process, and the product comes up only if you ask. Nobody from sales is on the call.
Do I need to be a Harbor Desk customer?
No. Most teams that come aren't customers. The session works the same whether you track health in Harbor Desk, a CRM report or a spreadsheet.
Who should I bring?
Whoever is closest to how your team flags risk. Usually that's the CS leader plus the CS ops lead who owns your health scores and playbooks. Up to three people per company.
Will it be recorded?
No. Teams talk about real accounts, and that only works if the room is off the record. You'll get the written teardown afterwards instead.
What should I prepare?
Ten minutes of thought about two or three recent churns or near misses: when you first noticed, and what you'd seen before that. We'll send a short pre-work email with three questions after you register.
